I haven't even got mine yet ... ordered on 1/3 and they haven't even shipped it.Originally posted by Mach1Run View PostHave you shot yours yet? They're getting pretty mixed reviews. I am tempted to get one for the hell of it but haven't talked myself into it yet.

I noticed that. All the PSA parts have gotten great reviews but some people are complaining about the fit and finish of this PTAC stuff.Originally posted by Mach1Run View PostHave you shot yours yet? Have not shot it. My lower is not working well, so I need to fix that first.Originally posted by Mach1Run View PostHave you shot yours yet? They're getting pretty mixed reviews. I am tempted to get one for the hell of it but haven't talked myself into it yet.
The fit an finish is quite nice imo. Even if it wasn't very good, for a $200 complete upper it is fantastic.

The only negative comment I have found regarding PTAC is the bolt may not be the best made. It is a fairly new company, apparently, and PSA is their only distributor. Other complaints have been that there is a dry lube film on the inside of the receiver that discolors the finish and is really difficult to remove. Not that that would affect accuracy, and most comments have described the PTAC upper assembiles as great entry level AR uppers.

These are some of the threads that kinda have me shying away. Sounds like a bad lot of barrels got loose. Several folks have complained about the bores having bad machine marks still in them. PSA seems to be taking the bad ones back which is good though.

I know some of you hate arfcom but PSA has a forum there which is handy if you have an issue. Inspect your bore when your upper arrives and hope for the best.Jon
