Granted, G29 is probably my next purchase, but it's a little on the thick side if you carry IWB. Could do a G27 or G23, or go to something else like a Shield, M&Pc, etc. A lot more options in 40 vs 10mm and less reloading change (assumption...I don't reload).
I actually thought about it last night and figured, that I can, it would probably be cheaper overall (dies, primers, brass VS. Factory ammo all the time) but then, how much am I shooting it.

How often do you go to the range with your CCW and shoot? I am not LEO/Mil so this is a factor. I assume maybe no more than once a month.

Edit: the only cost savings over chosing .40 is I already have the dies, granted they will have to be adjusted quite a bit to accomodate .40, it can be done.

Any other caliber would require small pistol primers, bullets and dies. Another note is that the .401 bullets I do load in my 10mm are 180/200gr bullets, those would be a bit too much for a .40

    Ah, decisions, decisions, decisions....

    Ah, brought back memories there

Not too far at all, if I am ever that way or plan too, I will shoot you a PM and see if you are around.

yeah, you made a point though (intended or not) that a CCW should not be fun and I am probably going to shoot it less than any others I have...

This is true however, from the little feedback I have read, the LCP and Bodyguard have 8lb triggers (exaggerated I am sure) which is why I threw them in there, but have not really considered them.

I know you dont want a 2lb trigger on your CCW but I also dont want to get a cramp just from firing a single mag (exaggerated for sure)

I also have a S&W Chief's Special in 9mm, that is very similar to the shield in size, but the shield was thinner and lighter, and shot just as well as a the full metal frame gun.
    Thanks for the input
