The Spartan is the only STI gun that is NOT made by STI. They outsource it to someone in the Philippines... All others are made in Georgetown, TX.

    I doubt he did.

Basically it is between the used 97B for $500 delivered to me or $585+$25 for shipping on a brand new match.

No BS, I am in the middle on this, part of me says save a bit and the other says its only $100 difference for a new gun...so I am torn again

So I have been talking to a guy in out in Lubbock with regards to a CZ97B for $500. Said it was a deer lease pistol and it does have a couple of blemishes on the frame (small scratches) and I found out he does not have the box, barrel bushing tool or the original papers; so basically, just the gun.

    Opinions, good deal?

The slide appears to have some light surface rust but after talking to him, he stated that it was just dirt stuck in the serrations on the rear of the slide. Also, the pictures he sent are a bit blurry, though if you look you can see the scratches below the Mag Release and in front of the trigger guard. The only other blemish is the rear serrations.

I'm a 1911 snob so my opinion would be a little biased. But from what I know, the pistols you have listed are all fine choices in that price range.

I have an XD. 40 in sub compact and love it. I picked up an XDS in 9 mm for my GF and we both love to shoot it. I noticed it was shooting to the left a bit. I need to get the sights adjusted

True, I guess the Match would be a step up from the basic design

    Okay so how about this:

    Witness Match or CZ97?

    I am guessing the Match
