I wasn't sure at first either. I figure I'll send it in and get it fixed and decide what to do later. If I ever start spending money to upgrade a rifle it likely won't be this one.

I guess they are too busy consolidating companies and laying off employees.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostSame here.
I'm not in a huge rush right now but I would like to have this thing back for hunting season."A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

Just buy a timney and be done with it. The X Mark trigger is trash anyway..."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I had a feeling this was the case. I had an issue with a Ruger about 5 years ago and was pleasantly surprised at the 2 week turnaround. From what Remington is describing as the issue, it would take a gunsmith 5 mins to inspect and correct if need be. I can't believe the small number of authorized repair centers.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostSame here.

Can't find them because everyone with a Remington 700 subject to recall have already bought them.Originally posted by YALE View PostFind them in stock in any volume.
eBay looks to have some and amazon as well."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I got an e-mail, no box yet though. If it took over a month to get an e-mail I am assuming the rifle will take quite a bit longer.
Did you ever find a way to get a suppressor for that trip?Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostMe too. I'm going to call and get ETA before I ship. I need the gun for an elk trip in October"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."
