A few weeks ago, in my CHL class, our instructor said that the law stipulates that the weapon is only considered concealed if it cannot be seen when all door of the vehicle are open. That's why I ask about under the steering column. I don't believe so. I think the open carry laws only addressed actually wearing the gun openly. I have been pulled over three times now with it there. They all said the same thing. " Don't reach for it ". I'm the least threatening person to pull over, though. Perhaps overkill but still better to be safe when dealing with the popo. I'm only questioning the legality of using such a setup, not whether is is a good idea or not. But what if that doesn't work for the user? Appendix doesn't work for me, not with a 1911 and my fat ass. Drop leg might work but what do I do when I get out of the car?
