I have no idea, man. You can try a sonic cleaner.

Supposedly sonic cleaners arent good for aluminum baffles either due to pitting. The only things I am seeing online are the same as noclassic suggested and even then you have to be careful. Sonic cleaner was my first thought as well but now I am hesitant to try that. May try a cheap media blaster from harbor freight eventually.

I feel sorry for you poor bastards. Just cut it loose and pick up a stainless can if you plan on shooting it a lot. That's just too much of a hassle.

Pretty much what I have been doing so far. And to CJ, yes leason learned the hard way. I am new to the NFA stuff; I have this pilot 2, just got my sbr completed, and my next can will be a 30 cal but I can't decide yet on which model. Eventually I want to get a second .22 can and will get one in stainless.

Thanks for the offer; I am not too far outside of the metroplex but they aren't bad enough to worry about at the moment. The can has less than 1000 rounds through it and I have cleaned it twice already, and so far have been able to keep it clean enough to not risk getting seized up. I might take you up on that when it gets more rounds through it and really needs it.
