Interesting story about Mexico. About a year or so ago I was calling around to different forges that make lower castings looking to do a bulk order (ended up being more than I could afford). When I asked one of the places why they required a minimum order of 400 castings and documentation they said they used to sell to the general public but then a bunch of their casting started showing up on the border/ in Mexico. Instead of dealing with bad PR and any could be hassling from the gpovt they simply made it so you had to order an incredibly high volume all at once and stopped selling to the general public.Originally posted by John -- '02 HAWK View PostMexico's rules for guns is that it can not be the same caliber that the Mexican military uses.

It's pretty easy if you read The Constitution. The ATF should be disbanded and all of it's rules repealed, if you follow The Constitution. It's pretty clear though that large groups of people are doing all they can do undo The Constitution one little piece at a time. I don't have to ask the ATF anything, I'm literate.Originally posted by John -- '02 HAWK View Postgo ask the atf if this covers silencers, sbrs, full auto, aks from russia, etc

The entire DHS is un-Constitutional too and so is "The Patriot Act" along with the "Affordable Healthcare Act" and a whole bunch of other things. You should watch the video when Rangle passed the ATF law banning full autos. He did it on an oral vote without a decibel meter. If he'd have had a decibel meter, he'd have known he lost. Hell he knew he lost, and didn't care. On that day a lot of The Constitution died. They should've called for an actual vote count, but did not. "The yeas have it, the yeas have it.... BANG BANG BANG" goes the gavel..... If he'd have done that 150 years ago a fellow Congressmen would've put a bullet in him on the spot, literally.

This is why you have wipers on linear components. They seal the rails so the chips do not make it into the bearings.Originally posted by Ruffdaddy View PostJust met a few of these guys...they seemed pretty cool.

I am curious about the reliability of these. Aluminum shavings in a box doesn't play nice with moving parts.

I do indeed. Was there last weekend working late into the night. Now that I have a mill of my own I don't frequent the place as much. Love me some Austin though. May go down this weekend or the beginning of the week. Let me know when you want to go again and maybe we can carpool.Originally posted by Ruffdaddy View PostYessir that's the place. You frequent there?
