I will say that If HB-195 fails, SB-346 would be a great substitute. It converts a concealed carry license to a license to carry how you want.

No, there are plenty who would make it a point to carry ARs around malls or downtown just because they want the attention. They know that due to all the shootings that have happened people are justifiably concerned if someone walks into a mall with an AK, but they ignore that and choose to do shit that they know causes alarm. They do it for the attention, and they will be the ones, if open carry passes, who push every business to put up legit 30.06 signs that screw everyone.
