From what I've seen of intelliscope. It's not what I would call heads up.
It's real easy to use at a glance, plus it adjust for windage and elevation with a little user input. My plan was to use an Ipod touch, not an actual phone, for my pig hunts.

I wouldn't want anything like that on my head blocking my FOV.

Its the same style the military uses. The intelliscope isn't nearly as useful for over and around obstacles. The HUD may also be partially transparent in the setups I'm playing with. The monitor will be flip up, and fixing to your head keeps you from having to stare at a phone on the back of your rifle.

I'm guessing you haven't seen the style of technology I'm refenercing And aren't too familiar with the military sights this is modeled after.

For reference... Except the camera is mounted to the gun, and the monitor to your face.

I get what you're trying to do, I just get what you would use it for on a rifle.

I guess I understand why would would want it for paintball, but unless you're spending a crap load of money I'm guessing it would be pretty cumbersome.

I've read decent things about http://reconinstruments.com/products/jet/ but you may have a hard time finding them.

I actually looked at those glasses as we'll as google glass, myvu and a few more. Those are all pricier than I want.

My plan is to take a Sony live view remote, package it with optics so I can put it closer to my face and either use a semi transparent fold mirror or a hinged mount. I have access to all the cnc machines I need so the packaging will be much small than the ENVG in that link. The live view is around 2oz and water proof so that's fine too.

Aww yeah the cheap ass amazon optics work! Now the questions is if there is any merit in putting a reticle on the setup when the FOV is 120 deg I believe.

I may have to try feeding the video to an app, then cropping the FOV in target mode to make a reticle useful. I guess that'll be phase 2.
