  • Ideas for Bushmaster scope

    something less than $400.
prefer non tactical, compact and some magnification with bdc reticle and strong mounting. The weapon has no carry handle and the rail is factory mounted.

I like Nikon for my "cheap" scopes. The .223 scope is pretty decent for the money.

I really want it for hunting so I don't want the tactical adjustments unless there is no other choice.

Tactical adjustments? Like windage and elevation? What do you plan on hunting with it?

I just put a Vector SPARC (red dot) on mine, and its just as good as an Aim Point micro all day. If you want a magnifier you can buy a 3x that drops out of the way. Just my .02

                maybe coyotes also.

no family pets ( unless they are foaming at the mouth, or attacking my family ( just the ones I like ) or biting my slicks in my driveway on my car) that's about the only exclusions!

I'd go with a good red dot and maybe a flip up magnifier. I put a bad ass viper vortex on my hog hunting gun and regretted it. I'm much happier with the red dot site as almost all my pig encounters have been 75 yards or less. It's hard to keep them in your sight at that range when they are running.

x2, I like these scopes as well.

OP, There is fixed magnification and another that is adjustable, but I can't remember the details.

                        use the risers or not?

it makes the charging lever hard to get to without them and I have to put my cheek on the metal. I've always mounted scopes as low as possible to keep it more accurate

What kind of charging handle are you using? It's kind of hard to tell from the photo.

Whatever comes on it. This is my first gun of this type. I know I'm not describing the parts correctly.
