I was going to say the same thing YALE. The guys at Ident Marking always have a whole bunch of NV stuff out when I have been there. They were renting a couple to a guy last time I was there for engraving.

I'd have to agree with this. I have a PVS-14 with an aviation tube and it's clear. About as clear as things get. And that shit doesn't come cheap. Nightvision isn't for peasants. The Russian Gen1's will allow you to identify the general size, distance, and type of target, but that's about it. The big money comes when you're talking clarity, resolution, noise, sensitivity, and illumination.Originally posted by BMCSean View PostSeriously, if you aren't ready to drop $3k plus on something it's better to just not waste your money."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

How far do you need to be able to see?Originally posted by wickedblkgt View PostDoes anyone have any experience with Bushnell? I would like a $3k product, but I just need something to let me see in pitch black conditions."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

how far ya need to see, and do you mind using an illuminator?
My preference is usually FLIR, but some IIS systems work pretty well...especially with an illuminator if its pitch black out.
You dont need an LRAS/ITAS/ITSS/HTI or any other cooled system for that matter unless were talking a TEC. Or if you really want to see several miles with high recognition.
Which bushnell are you referring to?
