no, the proposal is that a person that doent have control of their own SS doesn't have a sound mind, and therefor is disqualified to purchase a gun, and I think by extension from owning a gun.

The proposal wouldn't have stopped any domestic terrorism, Columbine, Aurora, and probably wouldn't have stopped Newtown since he used his mom's firearms.

I can somewhat understand the mental illness and or dementia. Don't we already have this law on the books? Why not enforce what is in place. A blanket "all SS recipients" is a little far reaching.
