Since this type of review is more about will it go bang after the torture test, than how tight the grouping is. Contact gun ranges with rentals about purchasing units that are halfway through their life span, then do a maintenance rebuild and lube (or have them do it). The price should be discounted at that point, and the shop may even give a further discount if there is some advertising/special thanks in the vid (that vp9 vid has 100k views).

afterwards the gun could be donated to a gunsmithing school (hopefully as a tax write-off), sold as parts, sold to a gun customizer/prop shop, it may even be more valuable as a turn in.

Ergonomics.... just about anything including Canic, and Taurus.

Reliability, accuracy and ammo capacity.... well realistically in these 3 everything is damn near a draw. I haven't shot a lot of H&Ks or Taurus', but I'm far more accurate with a 1911 than anything else. A lot of it is the nice heft, 5" barrel and long sight radius. Now in the 4" pistol variety I'm probably best with a 1911 or my Sig P229. That said I've never had an issue with any Glocks. I am considering having a G19 or G17 around just to have as a SHTF spare. It'd be a great back up to the 229. Glocks are good guns for the price as evidenced by their widepsread adoption by police forces the world over.

BTW, I have a VP9 too and an XD too. I wouldn't mind having an XD mod 2 in 45 cal, with a 4" barrel but they haven't released it yet...... just 9 and 40.
