I have a few other tips that I have already made threads about. Do a search by name here in the armory. There is one using a 1/4" clevis pin for the front take down pins. And another trick I learned from a member here of taping the rear of the receiver for a set screw to hold the spring in for the rear take down.

This method works great for the trigger guard also. Helps prevent breaking the ear off.
This is the method i used. And it works great.

Just watched the video on youtube and that's all I needed.

Although the one thing I learned was 1 longer punch would be perfect for tapping in the bolt catch pin. I bet I can do the next one in a few minutes.

    Motoman,
That is fine, just put yourself on the schedule.

On spread sheet it says schedule "24 hours in advance", there is an open spot tonight (Friday 4/15/2011 7:15pm) If possible I would really like to pick up then even though it's not 24 hours in advance since I am off today.

We will also be doing a barrel, and BCG group buy in the next month from a different distributor. Both 5.56mm barrels and 6.8mm barrels will be available.
Very cool man. Thanks for the update! I'll be in on the barrels for sure.

So, has anyone picked up their lowers? I know a few of you guys have - how do they look?
