In fairness...lets be honest....YES.....you CAN buy a gun without a background check at most gun shows in Texas at least....you just have to buy it from one of the random people walking around with a sign on their backpack advertising that they are selling a gun. You CANNOT buy a gun from a LICENSED FFL without a background check...meaning none of the tables that are setup and officially part of the gun show. No different than buying a gun in a back alley, walmart parking lot, or police station lobby that was advertised on TxGuntrader or any other message board (except for apparently Facebook now). I stopped going to gun shows around here because they were a waste of time, everything I found I could buy on gun broker cheaper even with a transfer fee and shipping. Now the FB thing sucks, I've found some good deals lowballing on the FB groups.Comment
