What's your favorite 1911?

I picked up a rock island at the gun show sunday, that's a heavy gun.

I have a 3.25" inch model and have carried it quite a bit. It's heavy but wasn't too bad.

yeah, the smaller ones seemed better, but the 5" is heavy. Even the 4.5 seemed better in hand.

I think it's hard to beat Dan Wesson 1911's as far as bang for your buck. None of that series 80 garbage to contend with and the fit and finish is great.

You can buy springfields and series 70 Colts for less and I like them better. I'm not saying I will never buy another DW, but I doubt it.
