Best small gun for CCW?

So I just want to ask because I hear it so much in the news here in Albuquerque....are you saying you want a CPX-2 that you can leave in the car at all times...even when you are away from the car? I hope that is NOT what you are saying. More guns are stolen from parked cars in New Mexico than are stolen from home break-ins...and the police here BEG people to not leave a gun in a parked car...but yet you hear about it almost daily on the news...and then later that stolen gun is used in a crime. In my opinion that is irresponsible gun ownership. The ONLY time I will not carry my gun is if I KNOW I'm going somewhere that has metal detectors at the door. I don't want my handgun to end up being a murder weapon because I was dumb enough to leave it where the chance is very high that it will be stolen.

I usually try to take it with me but that is not always the case. I do always take it in at night. I agree with what you are saying.

Your point is to point out the obvious? I would guess one easy solution is for those who don't like a trigger safety to stay away from those types of handguns?

I know they make +p for the 380. I had read somewhere about Corbon having good expansion but cant remember where.

I do use Speer and Hornaday.

I just picked up a SCCY cpx-2 to throw in the car. I have not shot it yet so I dont know what to expect.

380 and 9mm use the same bullet but 9mm pushes the bullets much faster - better expansion and adequate penetration.

Why the shit would you just blindly holster? I always pull my shirt up and make sure there's nothing in the holster and nothing that could get pulled into it when I holster my Glock.

I know iv said this before, but my Sccy cpx-2 is still my favorite carry weapon. Its small, 12 rounds of 9mm, dao, no safety, very low price ($250), and 100% reliable so far. I have been carrying it every day for over 3 years. Fired 2000 rounds thru it, first 1000 right out of the box with no cleanning, and not 1 ftf or ftf.

I've been thinking about picking one of those up...I've not heard anything bad about them except from the people that insist that the ONLY gun worth having is a thousand dollar (pick an overpriced brand) gun. For the money they look pretty nice.

I had one, and it was a very good gun for the money. I had a fairly early example that had the problem with the pins walking out, but SCCY's customer service was fantastic. They gave me three options to fix it. 1) Send it to them, 2) They'd send me new pins, or 3) Superglue the pins in, and they'd send me two factory mags for the trouble. I took option 3.
I regret selling it, but I broke even on it.

I think the lcp is still smaller but I dont have one to compare sizes. I think the round is good enough because I look at the two side by side and the 9mm only seems to have a longer case but the bullet looks very close in size. I have not put calipers to them too be sure.

I use Corbon as my carry ammo. I feel 380 is good enough but each to his own. LCP does not take much planning to throw in my pocket and still seems to be my go to carry gun.
