I think you're confused as to what we're talking about. They are legally imported parts, and they will both leave and return as legally imported parts."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

I decided to cancel my project after some research and speaking with HK gunsmiths. Apparently much to my dismay the 10mm MP5 variant was cancelled because the receiver can't handle the cartridge. Apparently after 5-10k rounds the gun basically comes apart with broken welds, receiver cracks, bolt cracks, etc. This is the reason why the MP5/10 disappeared. 10mm holds no prisoners."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

I'm thinking I'll just buy a PDW like you have and call it a day."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

Yeah, that may work. That being said, they stopped importing them but there are a few out there still. It is an AT94k made by MKE on HK tooling. Gunbroker has a few left.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View Post

I haven't looked but I estimate their price at around $2,000+ given the MP5/10 semi auto prices. The 10mm is a peculiar cartridge. Probably it's worst enemy is the invention of the .40 S&W. It caused most all manufacturers (Colt, HK, Tangfolio) to just convert over .40cal designed weapons because it was cheap and easy - which caused nothing but problems and explosions. The original Delta's cracked frames, the MP5/10 fell apart, the early Witnesses cracked frames...etc..etc... The cartridge just developed a bad name because of cheap ass manufacturers cutting corners. If the .40 S&W was not crapped out for limp wristed FBI agents I presume 10mm would be stronger than it is, and far less problems.Originally posted by DOHCTR View PostYeah, that may work.
