Cj are you using the tumbler for that. Or are you shaking jars?Originally posted by CJ View PostI have 48lbs of WC844 right now and what I do is mix all of the powders together thoroughly, then pour them back into individual containers, and you have the exact same burn rate.

I put them all in a very clean tupperware tub and mix them together. I don't use a tumbler.Originally posted by Mr_Fiux View PostCj are you using the tumbler for that. Or are you shaking jars?

I've seen substantial differences from even the same runs sometimes, my only guess is it could be container seal variances. I really suggest you mix them all together and you will have a 100% match.Originally posted by Sleeper View PostCj is loading for bulk accuracy imho. Im taking one more variable away by trying to get it all from the same lot. How much varies lot/lot. I would say none, but we all know the world isnt perfect.
Funny story - I had a phone call when I was in Munich and my neighbor told me the AC unit directly adjacent to my gun room had caught fire. I told him to evacuate, he told me he stole all the neighbors hoses and daisy chained them together to put the fire out. We both laughed. But seriously it probably would have taken the neighborhood out seeing as there was at least 70lbs of powder 5 feet from that AC unit. It's now on the other side of the room. I got a safe for the powder, but I just filled it up with guns and it's out again."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

It's standard .223 powder. I use WC846 for .300 and .308Originally posted by bottlerocket View PostWhat do you use the WC844 for?"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

I use varget only for target high grain rounds (77gr). WC844 is military surplus powder for 55gr M193. Gives 3200fps @ 25gr - $90 for 8lbsOriginally posted by bottlerocket View PostI'll have to look into that stuff. Ive been using Varget in my 223"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

Most of your loading will use a faster burn rate powder with the lighter grain weight projectiles.Originally posted by bottlerocket View PostGotcha, I've been using it on my 55gr bullets. Time to switch and see how it goes. Thanks!"It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!"

Wc844 is h335 essentially. Except 1/3rd the price.Originally posted by Sleeper View PostTry h335. I like varget for .308, but have found that from 50-55gr my ar loves 24 gr of h335"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
