They are, same primers. Probably a high lead content as well if I were to guess at our russian counterparts.

Back on topic though. Who here reloads .45 ACP, .223, .308, or .38/.357? I need some guys to go in on a large bulk purchase in any of these calibers.

Subscribing to see what comes up. I can't dump several hundred or thousands into ammo, but if you need some gaps filled or something I can use 9mm, 22lr, 12ga, 30-06 and probably 5.56. (don't own anything that shoots 5.56, but will one day)

Yeah, I haven't heard of them either, probably why they are so much cheaper. But honestly, I've bought simply based on Widener's suggestions on some of their bargain powder, and 75gr projectiles and it's been fantastic so I wouldn't really worry.

Believe it or not Alpine has the best prices on primers I've found.$24.95/1000 for CCI small rifle. Wideners was running special for 20/1000 tula primers...but you have to buy like 10 or 20k for free shipping I think.

Currently, a 50rnd box of 45 ACP is about 44-46cents per bullet.

Montana gold is @ $.16 a bullet if buy by the case of 1900. That's for a 230gr jhp.

I use to run the xtreme (used to be west coast bullet) in my Open gun and push them up to @ 1550 and they plating never came apart.

Precision is a coated black bullet, but for .40 and .45 they work great.
Precision is our of kemp, tx btw. I might be in on picking up some 115 grn 9mm/ 165 or 180gr .40/ and 200 or 230 grn rnd nose.
