Nice video, makes me want to adjust the trigger on my 700 down and see what it is like. I think I have had it long enough to no longer care about the warranty.

Dieselgeek, who would you send a build to that is local to drop my action in the stock and do the trigger? Maybe work true up the bolt and install a larger knob.

I have plenty of time (7-8) months for it to sit.
There are a few smiths local to the dfw area that are pretty dang good and an ungodly amount if you want to ship it off. I wouldn't worry about trueing anything up unless you replace the barrel while you are there. Only thing I would look at is possibly having the firing pin bushinged as some are very poorly done from the factory but that can be done by just shipping the bolt off.

Only factory trigger that I ever adjusted and liked was my FN, all it was is the original Winchester trigger that so many like.

Yeah, I was thinking he was getting it rebarrled. Who does the best bedding around here? This is the first rifle I've had bedded, and it was done at S.A.C. The rest of my rifles have all been Chassis Systems. He could order a Manners w/ a Mini-Chassis. It could just be waiting for him when he got home.

          Your T5A is a Mini-Chassis right?

I've heard stick at s&s precision was really good but heard he wasn't taking new orders due to health. Thoroughbred rifles builds Damn good stuff too. You can also find any good BR gunsmith their work is top notch but most don't do coating or paint stuff. Close to me is Jon Beanland over in Oklahoma and he is said to be one of the best.

Yea It's the chassis, I've thought about skim bedding it but it shoots good enough right now I can't make myself do it.

My smith is here in Stephenville, and he's pretty good. He's currently got a few Stiller action builds going. Let me know if you want his contact info, Keith.

When I sent mine in to have the trigger area opened up they bedded the lug for free. Shot great, but don't mess with it if it's not shooting bad!

Are you shooting 168g out of your 7-08? It's a really good looking gun.

Thanks, it was supposed to be bead blasted so I could coat it but his bead blaster to a shit. He polished up the barrel and scribed caliber and his name. I've thought about blasting it and coating it but his eyes are starting to go so he might not be able to scribe it which I would like to be on there.

I'm running 162 Amaxs right at 2875-2900fps they are pretty hard to beat at the price. I think I'm gonna order a accurate mag for the WSM cases since the spaces plate isn't there and I can seat the bullets out farther. I have a box of 168gr Nosler bullets but the bc is a little low but they are pretty cheap compared to everything else. My biggest concern is that my barrel is a 1:10 twist and 162 is about the longest it will stabilize.

Yeah, the hybrids are very long. My action is made for AW mags, and that's what I'm running.

Mine still has the factory 700 feed ramp so I'll be somewhat limited on how long I can go. I'm not looking to go to far on OAL just run them out a bit further, also hoping the WSM feeds without any mods Sina the AI case is a little fatter throughout.

Are you planning on shooting any matches? Sounds like it would be a good rifle for it.

Maybe, that was some of my intent when I did the build but my quickness on shooting wouldn't be good enough and I know I'm in nowhere good enough physical shape for it. Right now I enjoy just plinking with it although I did carry the heavy bastard all hunting season.

                              Multi gun or just rifle?
