Well after shooting the Gen 2 Vortex Razor HD for several months I sold it and I'm upgrading again. Don't get me wrong, it's a great optic but ultimately wasn't quite what I was looking for. I have another optic in the works, should be picking it up in the next month. Stay tuned!

I was thinking about building one myself. Should I start with a basic .308 700 if I was planning to change the trigger/barrel/stock anyways vs an sps?

I really want to do a .300 win mag but I think it wouldn't be fun to shoot. A 308 I could plink and really know the gun.

Sorry I just now saw your post. I've got about $4500 or so into this rifle including optic. That is a Gen 1 Vortex Razor sitting on top.
