After handling one at Market Hall this weekend, I think I liked the feel of Alex's Steyr better. Not sure if bulky is the best word to describe it but it will do for now.

I thought they were pretty evenly balanced. I haven't had a chance to shoot one yet but it definitely feels better than the F2000.

      • The F2000/FS2000 is a fun gun to shoot, but it is not practical in the slightest. It is bulky, not really ergonomic, only likes GI mags, an has a radically different manual of arms compared to anything else. I would only recommend one to a serious collector or someone who wanted to film a sci-fi flick. The Aug and the Tavor are both better choices and cost the same in my opinion.

I'm kind of considering one, but I can't buy it anytime soon. My hope is that they'll kind of be unpopular in a few years, and I'll buy it up on the cheap.

They are very reliable and very accurate, but I would highly recommend you shoot one first.

            • I think they are pretty cool. Certainly unique. What captivates me most about that rifle is how it must have crossed 100+ desks in FN and every one of them signed off on it and thought "Yeah sure, this is going to work."

That's what's the most amazing part of that rifle, the fact it was actually built. I would be really interested to see if anyone comes around and builds a new injected plastic mold for it and makes it more reasonable in size.

                        Ford GT syndrome!

The only major buyer for the rifle has been Slovenia:

                        • Notice they are all bear hugging their rifle because it's so cumbersome and unwieldy.

Fun to shoot, but I would hate to field it.

                              • The only experience I have with them is picking one up at the gun store years ago.
