He got caught because of some pothead he was selling machine guns too ratted him out.
I've always wondered when it's enforced. Ive seen lots of people arrested for SBR/SBS. But its a petty offense to the other crimes these people have comitted at the time and are either plead out or not prosecuted on the state level. No clue on when the Feds would get involved. Probably never unless the individual is committing a federal crime.

Now that's just my views on single weapon instances and not on gun runners or anything of a multiplied level.

    • My friend just bought a few HK collections from Germany including the famous collection that was the subject of the "H&K Rarities" Book from F.W. Moll. Went to his shop today to check them out.

Lots of prototypes and serial number 1 guns, but here is the crown Jewel.

      Factory engraved and gold plated.

                        • Well, did a little work to my M16. I had the gun engraved for auto. As with most early A1 forgings, the seams were a little rough. I made it a goal to clean up the receiver before I sent it off for anodizing. I took some pictures of the forging before and after. The front of the mag well also had a pretty nasty forging flaw which I took off. Let me tell you, it's a little hair rasing to be dremeling/sanding on a receiver that's this expensive.

All cleaned up now. Now just a trip to m60joe to fix my annoying selector hole, and then off to courter hall to blast it and hardcoat type III.

theres a glock at a California shooting range with a documented 1 million rounds through it with the only part needing replacement was the trigger return spring, that at the 700k round mark

That gun also had to be repaired three times and sent back to the factory twice. It was at the National Shooting Club in Santa Clara, CA. But yes, it's still impressive.

link? theres a thread documenting the gun on glocktalk, said only malfunction was return spring, I dont wanna search for it, I read it a few years ago.

either way, plenty of glocks well over 300k rounds without issue

heres one with only 750k rounds
