not true at all, springs are designed to be fine, left either compressed or uncompressed. its the use if them (loading & unloading) that will eventually wear them out.

however the p-mags need to have their tops on... the mag bodies will crack from the pressure.

I disagree.
Bottlerocket is correct. Loading 27-28 rounds in a 30 rnd M4 mag is FAR easier on the spring. Keeping 30 rnds in that mag, for an extended period of time, say 8 months, will cause feeding issues in an m4-ar/15.

Ask me how I know.

My newest toy. Remington SPS Tactical in .308, 20" barrel in a factory Hoque stock.





I have a Badger magazine conversion coming and new Leupold Mark IV glass also. Future plans call for having the barrel threaded and a .308 suppressor added to the inventory.

I love mine! I also plan on threading the barrel, but I would recommend a new trigger first. This is my first long(ish) distance rifle and I love it. I have only shot out to 500 yards, but I would love to go out longer. I know that every gun is slightly different, but I don't have a problem shooting sub-MOA with Federal 168g Gold Medal Match.
