Fun fact: Pedersen's .276 cartridge was going to be utilized in Garand's M1, and the ordnance board backed it. It was the way to go until Douglas MacArthur "suggested" we stick with 30-06. not necessarily a bad move, but .276 Garands offered significantly less recoil and two extra rounds per clip.Originally posted by lincolnboyComment
