I was originally looking for an original WW2 m1918a2 BAR, but they're non existent on the private market and the one I found was way out of my budget. But it did persuade me to go ahead and get my FFL/SOT.Originally posted by dee View PostVery nice, seems those and the Browning 1918 BAR are crazy these days.

Hard to say. The govt kept a ton that went overseas during the Vietnam conflict, so most never came back and what did are now pre-sample guns. They weren't sold in huge numbers to PDs like Thompsons, and they were never commercially made like the M1918 BAR.Originally posted by dee View PostAre they non existent due to people holding on and not selling or are there just that few of them out there for personal ownership?

Those are pretty much the biggest. A lot of M1918s were converted to A2s before and during WW2. But there were some changes in the gas system, furniture, etc etc.Originally posted by dee View PostThere's not a whole lot of differences besides the rate of fire selector and bipod is there?
