That being said, my cousin who is a Dallas Sheriff's deputy swears by the Para he has. I want to say that he even carried it with him when he was doing Post Katrina security in NOLA but don't hold me to that. I would think he would really swear by it's reliability to have done that. I would rather stake my life on his duty Glock than any of my Kimbers even though I say they've been 100% reliable for me.

I've known people who swore by every brand you can think of. I've seen enough guns malfunction to form opinions. Some people will try to justify anything they purchase for fear of being chastised or to keep themselves from feeling for buying a poor quality item.

I bought my Kimber knowing full well that I would never carry it outside of the house. It's more of a range toy and BBQ gun for me. I would rather carry a Glock so that I am only out $500~ in the unfortunate event that I have to use it and it is confiscated as evidence. That amount is easier to absorb than $1k+ for a Kimber, Wilson Combat, etc.

I would love to have a WC though. Those bitches are nice.

Yup, they have made some solid guns. They produce thousands a year, it would be tough for every one to be a piece of shit. Only Para-Ordnance has that kind of track record.
