Newb here, came over for the blackguns group buy!

I've been shooting long range matches for the last couple of years. here are my last 3 set ups.

The one in GAP camo is my recent one, built by Accurate Ordnance.

Guess you finally got the bolt back? Is this one in a 6.5 flavor or is it a 308? I seem to remember you had a Creedmoor for a little while.

Are you gonna look at the new NF "Beast" high mag ffp when it is available? From what I've seen it looks very promising but I'm sure it won't be cheap.

Yeah, it was an odd thing w/ USPS , but I got it back.

I want to check out the B.E.A.S.T, but for now the HDMR is going to do it for me. It's a great optic for the money. It does not have the features my Nightforce or Premier had, but it's also a lot cheaper. It tracks very well, and has one of the best reticles I've used.

Yep that was my GAP build. Fucking laser! I hit a red solo cup at 903 yards.

I wish I had a closer place to shoot 1000 yards. That is one badass place to shoot. The water should keep the heat mirage down so you can see the target better.

I love shooting w/o mirage, it's such a whip.

A little chromatic aberration but not much. It looks pretty clear.

It does suffer from that, I never looked for it before I read about HDMRs having it. I need to find some pics from my NF and Premier and see if they show any.

To be honest I had never seen anyone mention CA before the HDMR. I notice it more, when I'm not straight up behind the rifle.

I use a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 , it has some CA as well - but definitely not a lot. Those pics unfortunately have different white balances being used, but I personally see a hell of a lot more CA in the S&B, which is surprising.
