Well, any car you sit low enough I can reach out and ash it but if you must know it was a Civic. I haven't tried it in the truck yet. I just roll the cherry out of the cigarette then dispose that way.

I can simultaneously seperate the cherry from the butt when I flick the cigarette. However, when in the car, I flick the cherry and throw the butt in a mostly empty water bottle with a lid.

Well aren't you fucking special Brent! I don't put cigarettes in a bottle because they make my car smell like ass. I will put it in a bottle or can or something in my truck thoguh if I am at a facility where I am not supposed to be smoking.

lol... Have you ever cited someone for flicking a cigarette out of their window? I don't think I have ever heard of anyone doing or getting ticketed for this.

I've written both the littering, and the "throwing burning material from vehicle" tickets. Probably under a half dozen times combined over the last 20 years. It's not a common occurance.

The last "throwing burning material from vehicle ticket" was a couple of years ago when we were experiencing a drought with a lot of grass fires. I was behind a vehicle on 287 (MLK) and the driver threw a light cigarette out of the window. When it hits the pavement, it makes a large signature. I asked her if she was aware of it being over 100 degrees, no rain for weeks and if she had heard of all the grass fires. It still didn't give her a clue.

Smokers have to be some of the most inconsiderate people, evar because they have no care on how they effect other people.

That's why I said water bottle with a lid... Throw the butt in there, close the lid, and it doesn't smell.

That couldn't be farther from the truth. You are comparing one incident in MLK blvd of all places to all cigarette smokers? If I am smoking, I am not going to hide in a corner to prevent my smoke from entering anyone elses lungs.

Does that really surprise you? The police are always wrongly accused and innocent, if you're a citizen and arrested you're automatically guilty, and everyone who smokes pot is a piece of shit and drain on society.

Non smokers have a more sensitive sense of smell, and can usually pick up on it. However, the method Mike uses, can work. It usually doesn't work if you smoke in the car constantly, but a cigarette here and there, with the windows down and a/c off keeps it pretty fresh.
