I think it's just that with large families it's a good place for everyone to get together.

My family has never done the city park thing. we usually just have it at someone's house. and it's usually overly cramped.

What is it about Easter and city parks that go hand in hand?

Growing up in Corpus, I thought maybe it was just a south Texas thing, but yesterday while out and about, I noticed every park I drove by was full of hispanic families having an Easter BBQ.
