This is true. But that was the deal between us. If they hadnt agreed to it, i would be paying it. If i could get a job I definely would. I work on weekends @ a concession stand, but thats basically just to pay my half of gas.

I made an agreement with my parents that I would only make them pay minimum liability if they let me buy a sports car, and that I would just deal with it if something happens to it. Even if I have to go carless. I saved my parents $65 a month. The funny thing is that minimum liabilty on my v6 f-150 was quoted above what my 97 cobra was. Lol. Somebody fucked up. Granted I had a $1200 car given to me to use when I turned 16, but I paid for everything on that beast. Ins was $100 a mo, plus gas and all the tires I could put on it. I even had to buy my own parts when shit broke(unless it was ridiculously expensive)

I had to use graduation monies and a loan to buy a truck when i graduated so I had something to drive to college.

I think the king meant was why buy such a extravagant car when he should be saving for a education instead of leaving the burden on his parents. The insurance for that car has got to be eating a hole in someones wallet. My first car I purchased myself and paid insurance myself was a 81 280zx. The 6 month policy was more than what I paid for the car.

He didn't say he's still hitting the rpms real world. Also, wind resistance still mean something until you can find me a perfectly efficient tire.

And he didnt say he wasn't. If you think the "tires efficiency" is the only thing affected by wind resistance you need to shut up now. I have literally just been amazed at the stupidity of this post. But you may be right, he should probably buy aerodynamic tires...

If he's comparing to a dyno then the logical assumption is that he's comparing to rpms considering the minimal variables being present. Neither of which include tire or wind resistance.
