oligodendroglioma... say that 10 times fast and then try to remember it??? Its right off the brain stem on the left side. The only thing I have lost is short term memory. All motor skills are good and technical memory. If I do something enough for it to get into long term memory, I am good... kinda strange huh!
As of right now, its about the size of an egg and stage 2. It has been monitored for almost 4 years and suspected I have had it for 10.
So, overall, i could request it be given to another cancer patient? That would be ok by me. Especially someone they didnt want to 'waste' good blood on since they were not doing well or something. Maybe that is another whole market to start!sigpic

Wow good for you for fighting back and not letting it dictate your days! I'm certain if you've received any medication to treat cancer, it would disqualify you for that reason. The fact that you want to give, in itself, means so much.Originally posted by Red5oh View Postoligodendroglioma... say that 10 times fast and then try to remember it??? I mean from coast to coast and across the pond there have been too many disasters and injuries to ignore the obvious. Sometimes we don't even realize it until someone else mentions it. I just try to do my part

The start of diagnosis was seizures... I was shaking and blacking out. I was sent in for a CT scan and it simply got worse from there.Originally posted by 78X View PostWow how did you know you had that?
They thought it was something else at first and went though 6 weeks of IV testing. When that didnt improve and over months of watching, things just didnt get better. I then got a biopsy and it came back positive.
Now everything is at least stable and the meds make my life good. I have bad days but the good ones sure outnumber the bad and I am thankful of that.
I simply could not have done all this without the help of my wife!
Oh, and sorry for the interruption, as it was a real question about bloodsigpic
