  • DFWMUstangs Book/Reading list

Gotta start over. Last book read was Kung Fu High School, which was entertaining in a pop-martial-arts-blood&guts-gore-fest, which I've been reading a lot lately.

Next up is Jennifer Government, which is about a large shoe company that starts killing civilians who wear their product in an effort to create 'street cred' for buyers, driving more sales.

I've also got Mao II sitting on a shelf, which I may or may not read.

I'm wanting to get back to some non-fiction, anything from gun history and technical books, war, history, martial arts lore, engineering/automotive/mechanical or economics. Whatcha got?

Jennifer Government is pretty goddamn entertaining. The bit with the Ferrari is so over the top it's hilarious. If you like it, his first book, Syrup, is ten times better.

Also have Born to Run on the shelf but haven't started it.

I've been working on Walden by Thoreau for six months. Just don't have time for recreational reading being back in college. I've got about 30 books on my shelf waiting for more time.

Coltrane on Coltrane: The John Coltrane Interviews

It's a collection of transcriptions/magazine articles of all of the published and some unpublished interviews that John Coltrane gave during his career. It's really, really interesting.
