I'm probably in the minority on this, but I don't understand all the donations. It would make more sense if she was gifted the $2000 as a donation, but she is going to clear $10K by the end of today. I'm hoping she keeps the amount she found and possibly donate the rest to something productive.

I don't know about you but I sure as hell could use $10k and while donating some of it would be something I would probably do, I definitely wouldn't just keep $2k and donate the rest. Especially since it sounds like she and her family live in some shitty place and don't have money.Originally posted by AdamLX View PostI'm probably in the minority on this, but I don't understand all the donations. I'm pretty sure they're saying something more along the lines of "Hey man, check out my new watch."Originally posted by mustangguy289 View PostDo you think anyone in the Dallas city council ( or whoever made that decision) is saying " We should have just let her keep it, this is not worth the bad rep"..223 > 911

Unfortunately, I don't think any municiple employee in Dallas really cares about the city's image. At least it doesn't appear that way.Originally posted by mustangguy289 View PostDo you think anyone in the Dallas city council ( or whoever made that decision) is saying " We should have just let her keep it, this is not worth the bad rep".

Why should she give any of the money away? She was given donations because the city of Dallas was screwing her out of money that she found. I don't know why she should give any of it away to someone else. Maybe if she returned the donations to the people that gave them since the city reversed their decision.Originally posted by AdamLX View PostI'm probably in the minority on this, but I don't understand all the donations. She did the right thing. The city tried to rip her off and people got mad and helped her out. She should keep it all.
