agreed, but the police system in guatamala is corrupt, they don't even allow americans over there due the high rate of kidnappings. my best friend from guatamala (here legally) says you either work for the drug cartell and they eventually shoot you, or you dont work for them and they shoot you. i am not endorsing the illegals, but all of us somewhere in the past families came here looking for a better life. we just didnt have border patrol then

The communist Zapatistas keep Chiapas pretty safe from the drug cartels and they keep the crooked Mexican police out. Cozumel is also safe still, the Mexican Navy keeps anyone other than tourists and workers out.

I agree with you as I know people in the situation but America as a country is not doing so well right now and are struggling our self's to serve our own people. The laws are set to help us and to keep us safe, long ago this country needed immigrants but that's not the case no more & if we don't step up our boarder patrol we are going to be in the same boat later down the road. Nothing against people looking for a better life its only human nature but were not in the position to accept millions of people and that's to ensure we have a better future.

Washington and the like didn't like the way things were being handled, so they took up arms and blood was shed.

We didn't become free by running away. It's time for the mexicants to become true mexicans and take their shit back. It will cost lives and pesos, but they need to fight for their country instead of trying to take ours.

Unfortunately if/when there is a revolution in any of those countries it'll likely result in a communist regime taking over. Venezuela and Cuba have too much influence in the region and they share a common enemy, they'll back anyone trying to overthrow a US friendly government.
