Did you get arrested?

no never been arrested, have a secret clearance from the DoD, have enough college hours to apply to any department and have always had a job since 16 with no gap in between

You're best bet is to cough up a grand and put yourself through the police academy. Way shit is right now departments aren't really going to do that unless it's a big city like ftw or Arlington. With that you have to do a shit load of stuff. As for the background check, delete all your pictures that resemble partying, gangs or whatever. If you're unsure just delete it.
