don't get me wrong guys, i didn't say that i wouldn't let them learn any other language or culture at all, i just don't think it should be mandatory is all. i think that they have the choice to learn it if they want to.

And yes quite a few countries teach english, even make it mandatory. And in their country its not american history its world history and america is a small part of it.

i just don't think it should be mandatory is all. i think that they have the choice to learn it if they want to.

It's mandatory because if it wasn't, every kid would be taking Home Economics and bowling. They're trying to force our children to be knowledgeable about something other than how to butter bread.
