That's sure what I'd like to do, spend $75.00, spend time in jail, spend $631.00 to get some of it back, and not have it go on my record. Sounds like fun times, where can I sign up?
Or you can just pay it up front ($631). Wait for Austin to get a hold of your guilty plea (when you pay this is a guilty plea) and then they can assess the surcharge to your license ($150-$2000 per yr) up to 5 years and revoke your license. Then you can call your insurance agency, tell them that you need a SR-22 on your policy and pay the extra $20-$40 per month for that service....plus they raise your rates because to the revocation and the violation that caused it....
I dont recall those exact words having been typed in my post. Also, just got off the phone with the lawyer and they are charging me $75.00 and since I spent time in jail I should also get some of that $631.00 back.
AND...this will not go on my record....
Call Jim Lollar if you like to verify seeing as most of you on here says this will not happen....

Spoken like a true convict! Maybe it was better for you to either laugh at my joke or just keep quiet. So will this violate your parole? You gonna be going back in the clink for 8 more years?
Spoken like a true ass as you assume...I have never been locked up for more than 9hrs on traffic violations.
Think what you like, say what you want but the only one who should have remained quiet is the one who is not in my shoes...and yet they are assuming and judging...
Also, if you happen to know any former or current inmates they will tell you that rape is not a common practice amongst the male population (although it may happen) it is not widley practiced...
Just because you go to jail does not turn you into a homo. Most inmates rub it out in the shower or toilet stall in the commons area FYI

Jim Lollar is who I used, too. He got me deferred.
Forget? I would think that the thought of going to jail for failing to pay would keep any rational person from "forgetting."
My memory is absolute shit and I've never forgotten about a ticket. Then again, I'm not a big fan of prison rape. Admit it, prison rape is the reason why you "forgot," isn't it?

Lou Lou is not State prison and I did not see any "prison rape" happening in the COUNTY JAIL (not prison)
Oh so what you are saying is the municipal judge in Arlington is corrupt?

Q: How do people fail to pay tickets?
A: money is an issue..or they forget
Q:Why make arrangements to pay if money is an issue?
A: This is just plain stupid but maybe they are trying to prolong the warrant being issued?

I am not so sure you understand how it works... I don't know what your lawyer told you, but it is near impossible to get a dwil dropped even if you contact the court in time. There is really no excuse you can give the court for having no license... Second its not up to your lawyer if you are going to get deferred. It is up to the judge. I am willing to bet since you say on the ticket for so long you will be paying the 631+. Lawyer or not.
Politics my friend, what happens when the lawyer and judge are friends as it is in most courts?
Austin already bent me over. Lol. So far, this lapse in memory has cost me $2200 I believe. Not including whatever happens on the 21st. Are you positive you can do deferred on a dwli? I thought it was for moving violations only...
I have been told today that you can get deffered on a DWLI. Austin finds out about this one (guilty conviction or no contest) then they will stick it to you more than they are now.
Actually, just spoke to my attorney and I should be able to get my money back from Dallas once I send in an appeals letter (which the attorney is assisting me with) so yeah, not so expensive after all...
You see there will be no surcharges as that is why I have the attorney (keeping this off my record). Second, this will take 4-6 months to clear up. While that is happening I can petition/appeal to Dallas county to refund the bond to me as this is now in Arlington Courts. I take that $631 and subtract $50 for my attorney cost and get differed adjudication in which I will end up paying roughly $230 in fees which saves me 351.00....
so yeah, the 631 does not look so good
Thanks for all of the help guys

Deffered adjudication is your friend...you still have court fees and a small, reduced fine but in the end you dont have to worry about Austin bending you over...
