IIRC 10k, but some oils would extend to 15k. It really all depends on oil you use, and how much heavy pulling you do. For instance, if I were pulling a 30k lb trailer all day, I'd change oil more frequently.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

See, I want to drive the fucking wheels off of it before I have to replace it. In which case a diesel makes more sense.Originally posted by talisman View PostI usually get rid of a car after I put 15-25k on it anyway, so I don't really give a shit how long it will last as long as it makes it far enough before I find something else.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

So if you stretch it to 15k and get your oil change for $70 then it is about the same cost wise.Originally posted by bcoop View PostIIRC 10k, but some oils would extend to 15k. Actually a little less, assuming changes at 5k on a gasser. Again, completely dependent on type of oil, etc. Yes, more expensive for each, but since they are more spread out, it's a wash really.Originally posted by mustangguy289 View PostSo if you stretch it to 15k and get your oil change for $70 then it is about the same cost wise.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Yeah, if I had a job like yours I'd be concerned with it. I've been driving cars that get 17-18mpg since I was 20, and trading them off regularly. I think the vert is either my 26th or 27th car. I'm going to try to hold onto it until atleast next summer though. We'll see how that turns out.. lol

My dad had an Econoline van with 500,000 miles on it. The odometer actually rolled back to 0.Originally posted by bcoop View PostMy Expedition has 180,000 on it, and the bottom end is letting loose, and the rear end is going to sieze any day now. They are all over the place. Kyle, I know you're not that dense. Come on now.... Where's Cooter? He knows exactly where to find all those trucks.... I don't have enough time to search for that shit.
As opposed to on the sidewalk? lol. I don't mind. Give me a/c, a radio, and I'm good. Howling and all that can be corrected with new weatherstripping and dynamat.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.

It was some sort of Fed Ex/UPS fleet truck for most of its life and then we used it for flooring installs. We put about 200k on it. I don't know where it is now or if its sold but it was still running strong. Never had to replace anything major.Originally posted by ELVIS View Posthe gave away a lot of "free candy"!!!

The gasser is a little less you mean? I pay $20 bucks for a oil change every 5k miles. So gasser= $60 vs diesel at $70 for 15k.Originally posted by bcoop View PostActually a little less, assuming changes at 5k on a gasser. It can be done, but the gassers that make it that long are few and far between. With some suspension changes and a new bottom end, and rear end, I think I could probably get another 200,000 out of the Expedition.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

The Italian Nite club is like crack. Sure, there are better, but not many. Speaking of, I think I'm heading there for lunch.Originally posted by lo3oz View PostSo why does jimmy johns staff 20+ during lunch? thats just nuts.

I think maintenance and how you drive trumps the actual car itself. The car/truck/gas/diesel is nothing if you abuse the shit out of it and never do the recommended maintenance.Originally posted by bcoop View PostIt can be done, but the gassers that make it that long are few and far between.
