I had this happen about a year ago. I went to guys home for work - I'd never met him before. He was sprawled out on the living floor and somewhat unresponsive. He wasn't real old (early 60's but probably with a lot miles) and I thought he was just sleeping off some beer. I came back 2 or 3 hours later and he was still there. I woke him up but he seemed disoriented and couldn't give me a good reason to not call an ambulance. I called an ambulance and found a list of numbers by his phone and started calling relatives. Come to find out, he'd been laying there a couple of days. I kept up with them to track his progress. He left the hospital but never returned home. Last I heard he was in a nursing home.
