My thought is she that she did it, but the State did not have many facts. If they could have proved a history of child abuse/neglect then they may have had more of a leg to stand on. The defense went after this in the closing arguments and said the State mentioned it, but never asked ANY questions to anyone on the stand about child abuse/neglect etc.
