is it really "flame broiled"? i figured that was one of their marketing ploys...i've even heard that the grill marks are on the patties before they're cooked. i don't know for sure, though...i don't even remember the last time i ate anything from burger king.

They are infinitely better than JITB, Sonic and McDonalds, but don't touch Whataburger.

Certain foods, and places do that to me as well. But it usually doesn't stop me from eating there. I Fratelli's pizza, for instance. Shooting pains start by the time I'm on my second piece. No more than 120 seconds after I finish eating, I'm dropping the Cosby kids at the lake. But I still eat it all the time, because that shit is good!

Sonic does the same, however, I just quit going to Sonic.

i don't have any interest in eating at any of them! i did some remodel work on my house, and we ate sonic/subway/pizza hut/jack in the box for several weeks...i'd rather eat a bologna sandwich than any fast food, at this point!

Had a buddy in HS that worked at BK, they use a conveyor belt system to flame broil the burgers. They are frozen patties that they slap on the belt and then pass over a flam for 'x' number of minutes until cooked.

I'll take a whopper over anything, but whataburger is definitely a very close second.

The "flame broiler" is a belt system over gas flames that they pass the precooked burgers thru.

After that they sit in a warming tray and are microwaved before service.

Sonic's burgers taste like they haven't cleaned the griddle in a few weeks. They always have a greasy taste to me.

I didn't mind Sonic too much, because they are using real beef. But, it's not worth what it does to my stomach.
