Grape is right, even though it looks like a regular modified, look at the southern sportmods ( www.sportmods.net ). The use a full G-Body frame, stock suspension points, but have a mod body. Plus they have a fairly strict set of motor rules, to "help" keep the cost down. You can get oe of those just to see if you might like it. My Dad ran Economy late models all over the meteroplex back in the 80's and early 90's. I've got a street stock myself, but can't afford it right now. It's expensive but dirt racing is fun!92 LX 5.0

LOL. i'm just waiting for my car to sell then i'm gonna start seriously pursuing some of these dwarf cars/midgets that i've found in my price range. Probably wont actually enter in any races this year as i'll still have to get all the safety equipment but i'll at least be able to tinker with it and maybe drive a little and see what its like.

lmao. I'm down for putting people's names on the wing, but it's gotta be family friendly, so the boners.com is out, and you'll get as much wing space as the DSR sticker in the below the number on the wing. If ya'll are willing to pick up the fuel tab or supply tires for 2012 (this year is almost over) You can have the sideboards, or the sides of the hood, your choice. We'd need 10 folks with the name/$20 deal to buy 1 tire. I'm serious if y'all are.Originally posted by Grimpala View PostSO that's three (3) names and a boners.com
Dude you're racking up the coin, if we can get a couple more folks on board you might be able to buy a new tire.
When buying a suit, there are others that will work, but I recommend Hinchman-Indy suits, they're pricey but well worth it. I gave ~1300 for mine. It's a custom suit, they don't stock suits like you'll find from Simpson or the like, you have to have yourself measured and the suit is made for you.Originally posted by tribaltalon View PostLOL. i'm just waiting for my car to sell then i'm gonna start seriously pursuing some of these dwarf cars/midgets that i've found in my price range. Fuel, depending on where I go runs right around 150-200 for the truck and 40-60 for the car, we're running 18 shows with the SST in 2011, plus whatever I run at KSP, so anywhere between 20 and 30 shows a year figuring on the low side and 25 shows, 4750. Tires, it all depends on how abrasive the tracks are. I've had rears last a whole season without sealing up and getting hard, but in 2010 (been living in PA, so I haven't run in 2011 yet, gimme 3 weeks or so) I've gone through 3 rights and 3 lefts, plus it's time to replace all the fronts, but they last a LONG time compared to the rears. So, 3 rights at $200 a pop and 3 lefts at 175 a piece, plus 5 fronts at 165 a piece. So about 2k in tires.Originally posted by Grimpala View PostDamn, look at this cracker running this like a business and all.

Fuck I hate adding this up. I could have bought a house with how much I've spent over the years.
