I use soap and water as hot as I can stand. I'd use hand sanitizer afterwards, too, but the fact that most people use it in lieu of washing their hands means that the sanitizer pump paddle is covered in ass and dick germs.

I call out people entering the DFAC that pass up the handwashing stations. That's just gross; not only for them, but for everyone, as they grab food that we eat too.

Yeah when forced into large crowd environments some basic hygiene/sanitation has to be met.

The mandatory hand washing stations before you enter the DFAC changed my life. I cannot sit down at a table and eat without first washing my hands.

I figured I was not the only one who got into this habit, because of the hand washing stations - Although, I thought maybe I was the only weird one to think about it.

It was sort of refreshing to do too considering how nasty it could be...

In the hospital, they advise us to use hand sanitizer when our hands are not visibly soiled, and soap when they are.
Studies have shown that hand sanitizer works just as well as soap when used properly (not too much, not too little, allowed to dry, etc).

Personally, after I use the hand sanitizer 2-3 times in a row, it makes my hands feel gross. So I prefer to just use the soap the majority of the time.

And hand sanitizer in a bathroom is gross! Use soap after you use the restroom.

yes, they are. i guess you skipped high school chemistry class. regular old ordinary soap has acids and a base. they bind and repel like substances. bacteria, for example, gets suspended and rinsed off.

"antibacterial" soaps are a selling point. after each run or general transport, we would sometimes use handclens foam, but usually just regular soap and water for hand washing.

Soap, then drying with paper towels (not a hand dryer), then hand sanitized yields the best results, according to the various courses I've had to take over the years.

This is my point exactly. Doing both is the most effective because soap will not kill all of the bad stuff.

Regular soap is as effective at killing microbes as anti-bacterial if you use a good amount of friction when scrubbing.

After the helicopter pointed him out I proned him out and handcuffed him and he was transported to jail. I went to the bathroom and didn't wash my hands before taking a piss, and ended up getting poison ivy on my crank.

So now at work I wash my hands before and after taking a leak.

I did this with blazin sauce at BWW. I got back to the table in time to realize my error and while waiting on the waitress to bring me wet naps to try to relieve the burning, I seriously considered washing my junk in the sink.

What are you, a noob? You carry a towel to the door. Most restaurants are privy to this, and I've noticed more and more people providing a trash can, right next to the door.
