  • Wow man.

So you can't get to work because of a bad back and can't scrape enough money together for a plumber... but have no problem doing a motor / interior swap in a driveway and buying cars and gas and parts and paying for tickets. Not to mention, you actually screw over the board owner by flipping a car he sold you at a loss?

    Geez, you're a real dick...

You might want to rethink all the stupid shit you post, because next time you come around with a boo hoo story looking for help you're going to get shit on.

          Yeah.

I hate asking for help but dont know what else to do any more. My water bill a couple months ago was 4 times its normal cost. I searched and thought I found the leak outside and repaired the line in back. Turns out it was only one of the leaks and there is another under the house. House is a mobile and about 18" off the

I knew this was the same dude as the leak, because I nearly drove out there with another member on here. A radiator swap hurt more than death, but heaving off that blower was no issue? This guy is a scam.

                • He actually reminds me of a "so-called" friend of mine.

When he's down its poor pitiful me, but when things are going his way its like fuck the world and everyone who helped him back on his feet.

If the hernia isn't legit, he certainly keeps the act up.

I"m sure the guy is legit, but he doesn't seem to have his priorities in order.

If I was looking for 'reliable' transportation it wouldn't be a 20 year old SHO or a DSM, it would be a 10 year old Honda or a newer Kia or something like that.

I understand what the guy is doing, and it's logical, IF he had a steady source of income and another car to drive, instead of being a mooch.

Yep. I believe he's had some tough luck. But seeing him most makes me wonder how must is his own doing.

I noticed he was logged in on Stangnet @ 1700. But hasn't stopped by here to post anything.

                          • In all fairness guys, I told him that I would take what I did for the car. I know I could have gotten more for the car if I held out and posted it on CL, but a couple things were in play... I really wanted it out of my driveway and felt that helping someone was worth the loss on the deal. It wasn't a big issue at the time.

I even gave him an extra blower I had lying around so he could make use of it if needed (although the coupler was on the way out). I really felt that I was helping someone in a worse situation than myself and that warm/fuzzy feeling really made me feel good about everything.

One other thing. He came up earlier the same day the motor blew up in the car. I made him a hell of a sweet deal at the time. I let him get several interior parts and the deck lid off my other parts car for what little money he had. I think it was a measly $20. I felt good bc I was going to scrap that car after I pulled the parts that I needed and the interior pieces and deck lid would have been crushed probably. Oh well, hind sight...

You should have kept it and done some spirited driving on the back roads of Arlington.

You did him right, and no one on this board is going to fault you for that.

I think the main issue is the guys lack of humility in the situation, and that he is aggressively driving his only means of transportation after bellyaching on the board about how he cannot work and needs help with some things.

I can understand needing to get out from under a car before SHTF, but to talk about it like you're a used car dealer that is wheeling and dealing is a little much.
