Understood, man wish it wasn't so far away, I would love a lot smaller house payment and the land.
But we're trying to get my dad to move here and this may be good for him. Can you pm me pics and specifics please? Also internet provider, city water or well, etc.

Yeah I am waiting on Kyle to call me back. We may have worked something out but not sure yet. If it works out then I will leave for Dallas after he calls and get his other GS up and running for a motor swap.

Don't hate GM being they had nothing to do with the failure of the car. The 3800 is one of the longest lasting GM motors out there if it is properly taken care of or at least half ass taken care of. Here is just a guess on why the motor started knocking...PCM was pulling 6* of KR which was cutting the timing, buddy tuned car down to 1* of KR which allowed lost timing before to stay now allowing the car to make more power, this power took whatever was on the verge of going out take a dump. The failure probally would have eventually happened but would have taken longer....Or could have been something the PO already knew about and that is why he sold the car....At this point it really doesnt matter as the car is knocking....

My suggesting would be to pick up a cheap, lower mileage 3800 NA motor and do a top swap on it. That is if you can't find a good deal on an L-67 locally for cheap. All the motors I have bought have been local and found them for $450 and less.

If you where closer I would give you a hand as I know the 3800 pretty well. I will keep an eye out for some cheap motors.....

Yes sir but I also knew you were busy and when it stalled you said you were with a customer. You were already so helpfull with the parts I really didnt feel comfertable infringing on more of your time. Also figured you wouldnt want to drive 220 miles round trip. I have towing service through Verizon and called them. It only covers the first few miles apparently. Towing was a few hundred. They quoted $200ish. They claim they entered the wrong destination and thought it was 40 miles closer.

So car is back home. Im stinkey and hungry. Its beer time.

I do but no thanks. I really do appreciate the thought. There are some very cool people here but you all have helped me enough and I already feel bad. I will try and figure a way out of this.

PS: If anyone wants a killer sub setup I also have a pair of PERFECT Kicker L7 10" subs in a nice ported box and the optional (and expensive) metal grills. Its an $800 setup and was never abused. $340 takes them.

Well in that case, they did an ACH on my checking account. I didnt authorize it but apparently they are allowed to due it per contract agreement. Bank honored it and overdrafted me another $34. Account was already overdrafted. Didnt think you could squeeze lemonaid from a patato.

Price checked everything at rock auto and even with a new crankshaft, it would be around $500 in parts. If you could get the crank turned, it would knock off quite a bit. If the crank could be fixed, you are looking at more like $350 to get it fixed.
