To get this thing derailed again... I delivered pizza for 2 years in undergrad and $50 was a "good" tip night.

I delivered for a couple of years in college and I would be pissed if I left a rush shift with $50. I was used to $70 or more in tips working a 3-4 shift.

Delivery fees have fucked the drivers. It doesn't cost the pizza place any more than it used to, unles the UPDWA got involved.

Maybe so. But my pizza is always taste fresh when it gets delivered.
And it's a 3 mile drive from the pizza place to my house, so I look at it as paying the $1 per mile round trip.

I guess that is true. I live in a small town where everything is in a centralized area and I only live about 2 miles away, so paying them based on how much trouble it was to get to me usually doesn't apply.
