Are the grandparents going to raise your kid after they die? NO, you are, it is your responsibility and they won't be here much longer anyways.
Nut up and put this away.

Two choices, one child. Now sack up!

damn, for a while i was wishing i had family that could watch my kids for a while, now im glad i dont. Good luck with that, man. Personally, i would tell the grandparents to keep the dumb shit to themselves and put the kid somewhere else. youll feel bad for a while but youll get over it and so will they......

Today I find out that they signed her up for an art class for wednesdays from like 4 to 5. This same "art class" is being held by the same person who put on a talent show she was in. Turns out this person is a witness and the show was more like talentless/sermon. I'm sure as hell that the only kids in this "art class" are witnesses. This just adds more ammunition. I'm gonna feel like the biggest piece of crap in the world if and when I tell them that I don't think they need to take care of her after school, but I don't know if my influence can overcome or even offset the kind of teaching they will do to my child.

I worked with a Jehovah witness once. He really wasn't a bad guy and pretty much kept his religious beliefs on the downlow unless he wanted to make a joke about it or explain how they dealt with dating women. The religious side never came up.
I used to laugh my ass off when he called himself a jaydub.

Just stand your ground and tell them how you feel, don't be embarrassed or feel ashamed, be forth right about how you feel and if at that point you can't get through to them then take it to the next step.

For people that are so religious, I would think lying would really rub them the wrong way. You're absolutely right, at 5, there's no way she could make that decision and be so adamant about it with a lot of coaching.

/\/\hmm.
So I confroneted the grandma and she said that she asked her one day what the significance of the flag was and she.good her that some people.pledge to it but she doesn't. And that she understands and has stated to.Avery that she is just the grandma and is not here to influence her but just to take care of her. That is the parents job. I know she is lying because a 5 year old would not be that adamant against the pledge. My ex showed me how they are although she can be vindictive I think she is right on this one. I just can't seem to separate myself from this situation.
