Probably the most awesome car ever built. I've been in love with them since I first saw one. It can be the year 2821 and that car will still not look dated. A true masterpiece. I'd be happy just to sit in one. I'd sell my soul to own one.Originally posted by onemeangixxer7502 View PostF40 is by far my favorite car, I hope to have one by the time I'm 40! A guy who can own an F40 (and probably several other cars) probably travels for work (if he still works) and the value of his F40 is a fraction of his net worth, so he just doesn't care that much about leaving it with a reputable dealership. That said, when it was wrecked, I'm sure he cared a lot and it was very honorable of the Houston Ferrari dealer (I'm presuming) to step up and give him a new Ferrari as compensation for the loss that apparently satisfied the owner.Originally posted by scootro View Postthe story doesn't ad up! jalopnik sucks with these stories. the owner was in Europe but left his precious Ferrari with a mechanic!? come on, really!!Ford

When I worked in Aviation, It was a fairly common thing for a customer to leave the keys for the business to be able to move owners cars inside and out of hangers. Whats not common.....is an opposing service center blowing up a Porsche's tranny on a joy ride. So for a mechanic to get a hold of such an exotic is nothing short of circumstance.Last edited by TruestreetTim; 08-24-2011, 11:05 AM.
